About Preston D. Koerner

Salt Lake City, Utah -- My name is Preston, and I started Jetson Green in the summer of 2006 to chart and advance trends in green building.  This website, with its growing team of writers, focuses on the green building revolution -- we're obsessed with it and all aspects of green in the built environment, whether good design, sustainable architecture, clean technology, or eco-friendly development.  I hope to engage all the different players in green building, whether it's developers, lawyers, architects, engineers, lenders, contractors, or owners.

My Education:
In 2003, I graduated from BYU with a B.A. in History and a minor in Japanese.  In May 2007, I graduated from SMU with JD and MBA degrees (not joint degrees).  At the Cox School of Business, I focused on finance, marketing, and real estate.  At the Dedman School of Law, I focused on transactional legal courses.  Currently, I live in Salt Lake City and am waiting to be admitted to the bar after passing both the bar exam and MPRE.
